Standard Use of Ingredient Identification

"Textile fiber contentidentification" the implementation of the new national standard, the newstandard specifies the textile products, fiber content labeling requirements, such as Tencel, artificial cotton and other ingredients will not be used. Theimplementation of the new regulations will re-sort the quality of the textileindustry product quality to avoid the factory fuzzy ingredients and misleadconsumers.

"Tencel" is a commonly knownthat its true composition is Lyocell fiber. Lyocell fiber is made of coniferouswood pulp. The material is written on the ingredients, "wood pulp".  "Wood pulp" is only the production offiber raw materials and cannot represent the fiber name, such as modal. Modalfiber raw materials using European beech first made of wood pulp, then throughSpecial spinning process into fiber. Fiber production process is extremelyenvironmentally friendly. Because of its wet strength than ordinary glue toimprove a lot, gloss, softness, dyeing is better than cotton products.

Many customers will pay attention to thepurchase of sweaters, the label on the composition of a column that"anti-pilling fiber". But in fact, this standard is not accurate,"anti-pilling" is only a function, and large Most of the anti-pillingfibers are made of acrylic, and therefore should be clearly marked in thecolumn of ingredients. Others such as "artificial cotton" is notappropriate, should be called viscose fiber.

Product composition of the merits of rawmaterials is to determine the value of one of the important factors, but alsoplay a role in guiding consumers to buy. If the fiber composition and labelingdo not meet the actual situation, is to mislead consumers.

Industry estimates, the implementationof new standards, textile and garment industry will have a greater impact willreduce the production, sales, testing, law enforcement and consumption aspectsof the understanding of bias. According to reports, the state and the localregulatory authorities will regularly carry out sampling, once found signs ofnon-compliance phenomenon, clothing enterprises will be punished.
